About Marty

Background

I am NOT a doctor! And thank God for that. While some doctors have been invaluable in my pursuit of healing - it was me - I did it!  Chronic Fatigue, Hashimoto’s Thyroiditis, Adrenal Fatigue, Connective Tissue Disease, and Chronic Tendinitis all over. Fibromyalgia, Stomach and Digestive Disorders, and all levels of Chronic Insomnia. 


 A healthy man wants a thousand things; a sick man only wants one. - Confucius.  


What is Health?

We can't imagine the way to reprogram our minds and rebuild our bodies. Regaining health and vitality will come through making adjustments in the real world. Regaining health that was lost somewhere. Not straightforward, and there are some shortcut hacks and quick fixes, BUT we must have a long term strategy. Or we end up back in the same pain place. If I can do it, almost anyone can. We will help you take the steps required to bring your health back into your care and control.

1. Introduction to Personalized Health Planning

  • Understand the mind-body connection: Recognize how mental health affects physical health and vice versa. Practicing awareness is key to monitoring improving health.

(The Gap between awareness and action is the distance between not healthy and healthy.)

  • Heal the Trauma: (Physical and Mental insult has lasting emotional effects).
  • Medication: Understand the role of medication and why, when and how much may work. 
  • Balance hormones: Understand how our hormones work and what balance means. Can we can recode our genes or tap into our original wellness - possibly? But this takes time. Before this we need a foundation of change in health status. Hormonal health is crucial.
  • Prioritize nutrition: Eat nutrient-dense foods to support cellular, tissue and organ repair.
  • Exercise: Physical activity at whatever level we can manage enhances EVERYTHING!  
  • Get Enough Sleep: This is hard for some, easy to others. But we ALL can improve our sleep. 
  • Manage stress: Chronic stress impacts the immune system and accelerates ill-health.
  • Hydrate: Drink plenty of fluids, but let the gut treat liquids like food for absorption. 
  • Focus on Gut Health: No-one knows what gut health is; we need to have it, but how?
  • Monitor and adjust over time: Biofeedback (monitoring bodily functions) is crucial and takes time to learn. We need support and systems to help track and keep getting better.
